Settings

To access the CheckValve settings, tap the menu button and choose Settings from the main menu. As of version 2.0.6, the available settings are:

• General

  • • Show RCON passwords: Show the unmasked RCON password on any screen which includes it, such as the Add New Server and RCON Password dialogs

    • Validate new servers: When adding a new server, verify that CheckValve can connect to the specified IP and port

• Server Information

  • • Show server name: Show the name for each server in the server list

      • Use server nickname if available: For each server, if a nickname is specified in CheckValve, then show the nickname instead of the server name from the query

    • Show IP and Port: Show the IP address and listen port of each server in the server list

    • Show game and version: Show the game and version information for each server in the server list

    • Show map name: Show the current map for each server in the server list

    • Show number of players: Show the current and maximum number of players for each server in the server list

    • Show server tags: Show the server tags for each server in the server list

    • Show server ping: Show the total query time for each server in the server list

• RCON

  • • Warn if a command is unsafe: Show a confirmation dialog before sending a command via RCON which will cause the server to shutdown or restart, such as _restart, quit, or exit.

    • Show suggested commands: Show auto-complete suggestions while typing commands on the RCON screen

      • Include SourceMod commands: Include common SourceMod commands when showing auto-complete suggestions

    • Arrow keys show command history: Allow the up/down arrow keys to scroll through previously entered commands

    • Volume buttons adjust font size: Allow the up/down volume buttons to increase or decrease the font size of the RCON console.

    • Default font size: Set the default size of the text in the RCON console

• Server Queries

  • • Default query port: The default query port when adding a new server

    • Default query timeout: The default query timeout when adding a new server

• Default Chat Relay

  • • Chat Relay host: The IP or URL of the Chat Relay

    • Chat Relay port: The client listen port of the Chat Relay

    • Chat Relay password: The password for the Chat Relay

• Notifications

  • • Enable notifications: Enable status bar notifications when one or more servers fail to respond to a background query

    • Query frequency (minutes): The number of minutes between each background query to determine whether any servers are down

    • Play sound on notification: Play the default notification sound when showing a notification

    • Flash LED on notification: Blink the device's front LED when showing a notification

    • Vibrate on notification: Vibrate the device when showing a notification

• Backups

  • • Create a new backup: Create a new CheckValve backup file

    • Restore from a backup: Restore from an existing CheckValve backup file

• Miscellaneous

  • • Reset "Don't show me this again" options: Clear all "Don't show me this again" preferences

    • Clear previous Chat Relay hosts: Delete the saved list of previously used Chat Relay hosts from CheckValve
